January 9th, 2018

Today we left the hotel at 7:45, had breakfast then headed to the bus. When we arrived at the bus it had broken down, so we had a little change of plans. We hiked 8km to a beautiful natural water slide and river to swim. On the walk there, we took a few breaks for coconut water, fruit and other local foods. We slid down the natural water slide and jumped off rocks into the cool water, which was very refreshing after a hot long hike. After the hike, we returned to the center of Lençóis where we got free time for lunch and explore the city better. Everyone split up into small groups to eat and then we all met up at the bus (which started working again) for another hike.
The second hike was much shorter but very steep, but the view at the top was absolutely worth it. We took millions of photos with our country flags and even got asked to be in a wedding photo. We ate Jaca (a native brazilian fruit) when we finished our hike and then headed back to the hotel to swim in the pool and have dinner.
It was a really fun, exhausting and beautiful day.
